[Give Up, Robot]

Seizures and high blood pressure

I'll give you a 10 for the first half, which was a legitimately well-made platform game with great ideas. The second half is, well, sadistic; an exercise in patience and perfection which ends up in failed anger management. Not the kind of game I like to play. So I simply stopped at Hard 4.

@Herbie2606 Yeah that's the "last" level. Might as well finish it for accomplishment's sake.

Great stuff

The upgrade system really stands out here. Aesthetically it would have been nice to see other colors at higher levels rather than more plain green orange purple, but that's not something significant.

Also, I didn't know that the grey tower existed until pretty deep into the game. Just lol.

Balance

I love these games. But the fact remains that fighter type tanks are just better than heavy ones. Despite the high armor rating, I found myself getting trashed far more.

You know...

This is a solid game. Some people just rate down too much for the wrong reasons.

Sure, the controls need considerable polish, and sometimes there wasn't much to do except run, but this is pretty damn impressive for somebody's first foray into flash game writing.

Too bad you won't be using your talent again.

Memories of when I aspired to be a video game director. I've sort of given up on that, but playing your games makes that ambition well up inside (just a bit).

And goooo Final Fantasy IX. So underrated.

bug?

Sometimes the game will cut straight to the cart segment after a while even without collecting all the stones. Dunno if this is a bug, but it doesn't seem like it would be intentional, since it cheapens the game.

And yes, I did in fact play more than once. It's that interesting.

Soon red people will struggle to get jobs and everyone will hate them. Eventually society will "remove" them all down to the subliminal messaging in my game. Then it is only a matter of time before my green master race takes over the world.

Awesome in many ways, but...

The game has a rather nasty graphical bug where background images in the middle of the screen horizontally duplicate themselves infinitely after you pass them by. I might be the only one experiencing this, but it is horrible for performance.

Everything else I have no objections to.
